HUSD Staff Spotlight for Middle Schools

Ms. Riopedre has been a counselor at Rancho Viejo Middle School since 2017. Ms. Riopedre is a team player who goes above and beyond to help everyone. Not only is she an outstanding staff member of the Rancho Viejo family, she is an outstanding example of a staff member who exemplifies the Hemet Unified School District's vision. As a counselor she embraces, educates and empowers students daily. And, she always does this with a warm and welcoming smile on her face. Since the start of the school year, RVMS has been without a second school counselor. During this time Ms. Riopedre has taken on the extra load and continued to embrace every student by meeting with them to make sure their emotional well-being is taken care of. Along with meeting with every student to meet their counseling needs, Ms. Riopedre has gone to all classes to educate every student of their academic requirements so they are high school ready.  As a counselor Ms. Riopedre has an open door policy where she empowers students to advocate for themselves to become a successful scholar. In addition to taking on duties of both counselors, Ms. Riopedre assists the school in any way and anytime she is called to help. The students, staff and parents think highly of Ms. Riopedre and she is an integral part of the success of Rancho Viejo’s work to meet the needs of all students emotionally and academically.

Congratulations to Ms. Riopedre for this well-deserved award!
