Dear Students and Parents,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I am excited for another year at Rancho Viejo Middle School as your proud principal. For those families new to RVMS, this is the beginning of my 28th year in education and seventh year with the Hemet Unified School District. It is an honor to continue my service as leader of Rancho, and I would like to welcome everyone back!
The commitment of the Rancho Viejo staff is to Embrace, Educate and Empower every student every day. Our goal is to create an environment that supports every learner to succeed in an instructional program that will help them achieve success at Rancho Viejo and beyond. The ability to read, write and speak academically are essential skills required for any scholar to become empowered. And, it is imperative for students to be present to receive benefits of an education. So, the three areas of focus for this year will be improving literacy, instruction in every classroom, and attendance by creating a safe and welcoming environment for all students.
At Rancho Viejo Middle School, our mission is that we are committed to a community that has high expectations and provides equitable support to achieve social and academic excellence today, in high school and beyond. This year we are committed to living that mission. We will strive consistently and relentlessly to get better and prepare our students to be the best academically they can be.
I look forward to continuing to serve students by improving the environment, parents through better partnerships and communication, staff with shared leadership, and the community to assure our scholars are successful citizens in the city of Hemet and beyond. I have an open-door policy. Please do not hesitate to contact me via email, phone call, or personal appointment. I am eager to hear your thoughts and input about all facets of our school community.
I look forward to a successful school year!
Sincerely,
William Prudhomme, Principal
