Welcome to The Cube

Welcome to Alternative to Suspension, or what we call “The Cube!” In recent past, schools focused more on zero tolerance by sending your child home when he or she has violated the educational code. Research has proven that this punitive approach is not effective and increases the school to prison pipeline. Rancho is now taking a restorative approach to help our students reflect and learn from their mistakes all the while reducing recidivism. While in The Cube, students will participate in sharing their personal stories, restorative circles, role play, have one on one sessions, and will be given independent time to complete assignments from their other classes. I look forward to helping your child grow into their fullest potential!
